Pedro Plaza está cursando el doctorado en Ingeniería Industrial en la ETSII (Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Industriales) de la Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED). Obtuvo el título de Máster por la ETSII (Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Industriales) de la Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED), Madrid, España, en 2013. Además, es Ingeniero Industrial por la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M), en 2010. Actualmente es ingeniero de proyectos de I+D en Siemens Rail Automation. Pedro Plaza es miembro del Consejo Editorial de International Journal of Automation and Robotic Technology en Inderscience. Es autor de varias publicaciones en prestigiosas conferencias. Pedro Plaza ha colaborado en varios proyectos de investigación. Es miembro de IEEE, IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, IEEE Education Society, IEEE Young Professionals e IEEE Women in Engineering. Además, es presidente y moderador de WIE en la rama estudiantil del IEEE de la UNED.

Pedro Plaza is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering at the ETSII (Industrial Engineering School) of the Spanish University for Distance Education (UNED). He received the M.Sc. degree from the ETSII (Industrial Engineering School) of the Spanish University for Distance Education (UNED), Madrid, Spain, in 2013. Also, he has an Industrial Engineering degree of the Carlos III University of Madrid (UC3M), in 2010. He is currently R&D Project Engineer at Siemens Rail Automation. Pedro Plaza is Editorial Board Member in International Journal of Automation and Robotic Technology in Inderscience. He is the author of several publications in prestigious conferences. Pedro Plaza has collaborated on several research projects. He is a member of the IEEE, the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, the IEEE Education Society the IEEE Young Professionals and IEEE Women in Engineering. Also, he is president and WIE chair in the IEEE student branch of UNED.
